АТЛАСНАЯ ИНФОРМАЦИОННАЯ СИСТЕМА РОССИЙСКО-УКРАИНСКОГО ПРИГРАНИЧЬЯ

Ukraine and Russia are linked by a common centuries-old history. Our countries are faced against difficulties as the long-pending modernization of the economy and natural decline in the population, obsolescence of fixed funds and lack of investment, need for reorganization in social sphere, etc. The authors consider the cross-border cooperation as the essential part of consensus searching between Russia and Ukraine , the condition for living standards and growth in prosperity of millions of people in the borderlands. This article is based on the first results of the Ukrainian-Russian project, which purpose is to create the Atlas Information System (AIS) for identifying priorities in cross-border cooperation and coordinated spatial development of the Russian and Ukranian cross-border regions, based on inventory of natural, social and economic opportunities and comparison study of trends of evolution.
