Radially and orbitally excited state masses of Δ baryon

2020
Most of the known matter around us consists of Nucleons(N) which are composition of up(u) and down(d) quarks. Δ baryon consisting of similar quark composition falls in JP=3+2 category has been considered in the present study. The non-relativistic constituent quark model has been employed to predict excited state masses of the baryon. The results obtained with phenomenological approach are compared with experimentally available data. The motivation for the current study lies in the fact that so far we have not known all the degrees of freedom in the core of quark dynamics.
