Experiment on the Treatment of Activated Red K-2BP Dye Wastewater by Fly Ash

2010
Activated red K-2BP dye wastewater is treated by fly ash,fly ash-coagulant and fly ash-Ca(OH)2.The results show that pH greatly affects the removal of colourity, and the optimal pH value is 12.3;with the increase of the initial concentration of dye wastewater and the same amount of fly ash,the removal of colourity decreases, but the adsorption capacity of fly ash increases;when treating with fly ash and coagulant commonly, fly ash has greater effect on the removal of colourity;when with fly ash and Ca(OH)2,the removal of colourity increases about 12%;when adding PAC in fly ash-Ca(OH)2,the removal rate of colourity can reach above 89%,but PAC has less effect on the removal of colourity.
