Research on Power-off Replacement Calculation of Transmission Line Insulators Based on Life Cycle Cost

Transmission line engineering is a strategic asset with heavy assets and long life. Its normal operation depended on maintenance and maintenance. The initial design of traditional transmission lines mainly considers the initial construction cost and operation cost, and the line maintenance was rarely considered, not even considered. This paper proposes a cost calculation method for replacing the insulator string of power transmission line based on the life cycle cost, and considers the calculation method of the power failure replacement cost of the transmission line year by year in the whole life cycle. In the calculation of the line insulator failure rate, the improved gray GM (1,1) model is used to predict the line insulator failure rate in the medium and long term, which makes the line maintenance cost calculation more accurate. According to the actual engineering examples, it is verified that the convenience of inspection and maintenance improves the economic efficiency of the overall transmission line.
