A review on pore and porosity in tissue engineering

Abstract Now a days, tissue engineering plays an important role in replacement of damaged tissues and organs made using conventional method of manufacturing i.e., rapid prototyping. In this article, we discussed about effect of porosity and pore size of scaffold in tissue engineering with various fabrication techniques. Scaffolds are made porous to facilitate nutrients, oxygen diffusion and waste materials. This review paper also highlights the effect on mechanical properties due to porosity and pore size.
