Gate controllable ultrafast fiber lasers based on graphene

We report an all-fiber graphene-based gate tunable saturable absorber, optical nonlinearity enhancer, dynamic dispersion controller and electrical feedback accepter. This is used to mode-lock fiber lasers, enabling tunable repetition rate from 20 MHz to 348 GHz, with minimized super-mode noise −17 s.
