Percolation theory and transport coefficients in disordered systems

1982
Abstract The Hall coefficient in a weak magnetic field and the thermoelectric power, in two-component disordered systems, are shown to be determinable by solving two systems of Kirchhoff's equations. The critical exponents describing the behaviour of the transport coefficients near the threshold are estimated, using a computer analysis of a random-Gaussian-potential model (Skal, Shklovskii and Efros 1973). The theoretical results are compared with some experimental data on transport coefficients in liquid (Ga, In)-Te alloys and M—NH3 systems where M is a metal.
