Adoptive Control of Injector for Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell Hydrogen Feeding System

In this work, the adaptive control of H 2 injector is proposed to reduce the pressure fluctuation in the PEMFC H 2 feeding subsystem, which will reduce the mechanical damage on the membrane. Based on the comparative study on a simplified model, the effectiveness is verified to realizes the self-tuning of the controller’s parameter K p and reduce the pressure fluctuation more than 50% under the situation of changing internal states. On the other hand, limitation of the application is also discussed. This work sheds a light on PEMFC intelligent control to realize higher performance and longer durability in future.
