Effect of CS on Physiological and Biochemical Indexes of Maize under the Drought Stress

The authors dealt with maize seedling under the condition of drought with different concentration of CS solution.In the very next day of spaying CS,the authors explored the content of physiological and biochemical index which included chlorophyll,protein,prolines,oluble sugar.The results showed that the content of chlorophyll,protein and soluble sugar all rose obviously in the seedling under the 0.2% of CS.The content of proline was low under the 0.3% of CS.So,under the drought stress,treating corn seedling with chitosan solution facilitated the growth,provided the theory basis for the chitosan resist drought stress influence of corn.
