High Gain Low-Cost 20 GHz Antenna Design Based on the Utilization of Diffracted Fields from Dielectric Edges

We propose a low cost antenna solution, the antenna has 21-dBi gain. A thorough analysis of the propagation mechanism accompanied by a unique physical insight is presented. The realized structure has a low profile, low cost, and compact size features.
