Design and Modeling of Diesel-Electric Hybrid Shunting Locomotive

This paper presents a design scheme of diesel-electric hybrid shunting loco-motive power system. Firstly, the working principle and power flow of diesel-electric hybrid shunting locomotive are analyzed, and then a mixed working condition is formulated with reference to the operation of Dongfeng series diesel shunting locomotive. The energy configuration of the diesel-electric hybrid shunting locomotive’s power system is carried out. On the premise of selecting a diesel generator, the power battery configuration scheme of 3000 HP diesel electric hybrid shunting locomotive is proposed. Finally, the EMR model of hybrid shunting locomotive is established based on MATLAB, and simulation analysis is conducted.
