Preliminary Reporton Tamarindus indica Introduction Experiments in Yuanmou Dry and Hot River Valley

Tamarindus indica introduction e xp eriments were made in the Jinshajiang dry and hot river valley of Yuanmou County .The results showed that Tamarindus indica was adapt able there.It could toler ate the dry and hot climate,the poor soil,the short-term cold sea son and gre w fast.It was easy to be planted and managed with good ecological benefit.
