Design of Double-Layer Transmission Structure of Radome

In this paper, a double-layer transmission structure is proposed. The outer layer is made of quartz with a certain thickness, and the inner layer is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The electrical performance of the radome is optimized by changing the thickness of the PTFE layer. The results show that the double-layer structure can improve the transmission bandwidth. In the ablation state, the power transmission coefficient of the double-layer structure is obviously higher than that of the single-layer structure.
