A laser chirp pulse beam splitting loop optical grating compressor comprises a first optical grating pair, a second optical grating pair, a beam splitter set and a turning mirror set, the first optical grating pair is formed by a first optical grating and a second optical grating parallel to the first optical grating, the second optical grating pair is formed by a third optical grating and a fourth optical grating parallel to the third optical grating, and the third optical grating and the fourth optical grating are mirror images of the first optical grating and the second optical grating. High-energy laser chirp pulses are divided into a left beam and a right beam, and pulse width compression is carried out on the left beam and the right beam in the clockwise direction and the anti-clockwise direction in the optical grating compressor in loop layout respectively. The optical grating compressor can break through the limit that the optical gratings destroy threshold values, ultrastrong and ultrashort pulse energy output of a laser chirp pulse amplifying system can be substantially increased, and the optical grating compressor can be used for obtaining two ultrastrong and ultrashort pulses synchronous accurately.
