Sediment Yield from a Flatland Watershed

ABSTRACT ELATIONSHIPS of sediment yield and runoff Lwith rainfall were derived using data from two adja-cent watersheds in the Mississippi Delta. Because of the varying conditions of antecedent soil moisture and tillage, these data were stratified into monthly periods. The resulting prediction equations can be used for predicting sediment yield from flatland watersheds at locations where climate, cropping and management con-ditions are similar to those in this experiment.
