The invention is a device comprising a sensor body position and activity sensor peripheral temperature and a light sensor, which provides information on the status of the circadian system and the state of sleep-wake a person and that can be placed in the wrist of a person. The device may also include an arterial pressure sensor. This device can be applied to the study of the human circadian system in general and the study of sleep-wake rhythms and blood pressure, in particular.
