A method for mitigating the accumulation of ice on a substrate, comprising applying to the substrate a composition curable film-forming; comprising: (a) a curing agent comprising isocyanate functional groups; (B) at least one film-forming polymer comprising functional groups reactive with the isocyanate groups in (a); and (c) at least one polysiloxane, wherein the polysiloxane is present in the curable composition forming film in an amount of 0.5 to weight percent, based on total weight of resin solids in the composition forming curable film, wherein (I) the polymer (b) comprises a polyester polymer or (II) the polysiloxane comprises polydimethylsiloxane and comprises at least two hydroxyl functional groups and / or amine.
