Selecting Decoupling Resistance in the Design of Surge Protective Devices Connected to Telecommunications and Signaling

The type of BNC signaling surge protection circuit,consisting of gaseous discharge tube,resistance,transient diode was analyzed.Results of the transfer characteristics test and the impulse test with nominal discharging current show that when R is 2.2 Ω,not only the protection circuit has good transfer characteristics under specified passband,but also its residual voltage is lower.
