The world's largest synthesis radio telescope-SKA:low-frequency digital-array system

2015
Ongoing advances in digital-array technology have led to the development in fields such as radio astronomy, radar, and deep-space exploration. In this paper, we introduce the world's largest synthesis radio telescope, the Square Kilometer Array (SKA), and new-generation radio-telescope devices. We analyze the characteristics and performance advantages of digital-array system architecture in radio telescopes. We discuss in detail three kinds of low-frequency aperture-array system architecture based on the SKA work package in KLAASA, and we present a practical system scheme.
