Mikotoksinlerin İnsan ve Hayvan Sağlığı Açısından Önemi

1984
Mycotoxins are mold metabolites produced in foodstuffs or feeds which can cause illness or death on ingestion. The diseases caused by these metabolites, either by contact or by ingestion, are called mycotoxicoses. Although the toxic diseases in animals associated with mold contamination have been known for decades, the potential public health hazard of mold metabolites was not recognized sooner. It is reported in the literature that mycotoxins have assumed a prominent role in disease problems of both man and animals around the world.
