Remote Management and Monitoring of Water using IoT

: One of the compelling challenges of water management, as well as conservation in an area, is to regulate the amount of water that any particular area is going to utilize in a day. There are many different methods to measure the amount of water consumed by a consumer in real-time. Remote management and monitoring of water using IoT is one of the methods in which we have developed a prototype to measure and limit the usage of water. Data Forecasting can be used to calculate the amount of water consumed by any householder. This can be obtained by keeping a record on the data obtained regarding the water consumption in an area on any given day. IoT smart water management system let you know approximate, perceptive and design state analytics to analyse the data collected from IoT platform and determine the fare according to the demand of the water. This scenario can impact the water consumption customs of various householders and other industries. Since, we are using IoT as the base platform to store the data and operate the complete system, alerts are sent to the customers if there are any interruptions and an automatic bill is generated according to the amount of water consumed by that particular consumer thereby making the system more efficient in managing the water levels. In this paper, the IoT cloud platform which we have used is Ubidots.
