The ability to restore forests is directly related to the renewal of such, this capacity may be measured by the seed production potential which defines the biological limit of the total number of seeds that can produce a cone, with the objective of determine this potential in a natural population of Pinus pseudostrobus Lindl. of the municipality of La Perla, Orizaba, Veracruz, Mexico was conducted this study. From a review of 15 trees using the methodology of Bramlett, found an average of 285.43 seeds for the site evaluated and statistically significant differences between trees and these differences represent an input that can be manipulated in the design of new strategies study and possible generation of methodologies for the conservation and use of the population studied.
