Physiological characteristics of rice seedlings with desulfurized slag application on saline-alkali land.

2010
To investigate the effects of desulfurized slag on salt tolerance of the rice seedlings,we make an assay of photosynthetic and some physiological characteristics of the rice seedlings on saline-alkali land through different quantity of desulfurized slag apply to rice seedlings of '96-D10'.The results show that the photosynthesis and physiological characteristics of the leaves of salt-stressed rice were significantly enhanced with suitable desulfurized slag application, the net photosynthetic rate(Pn),stomatal conductance(Gs),stomatal limitation(Ls),transpiration rate(Tr) and water utilize efficiency have obvious more than that of control, but intercellular carbon dioxide concentration(Ci) less than that of control. The suitable desulfurized slag application increased the contents of chlorophyll, proline and soluble sugar in leaves of rice. The results suggest that applying 22.5 t/hm2 desulpurized slag obvious increase rice saline-alkali resistance.
