Energy Pulse – the Efficient Solution for Monitoring Electricity Consumption from Decentralized Data Sets

The present work brings to the reader's attention the benefits and facilities of the Energy Pulse application. The application enwraps a complete solution for real-time monitoring of electrical energy consumption of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Swimming Pool Complex from Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, the Faculty of Building Services, and from Mărăsti Student Campus. The use of a new algorithm for dynamic allocation of threshold parameters for the detection of outliers together with the development of a new algorithm for generating average consumption led to more accurate results by 42.421% and faster by 99.625% than the results generated by classical methods.
