The invention relates to a system and a method for monitoring the work state of a seeder in real time. The real-time monitoring system comprises a power supply, a master control system regarding a microprocessor as a core, a warning system, a differential global positioning system, a miss-seeding real-time monitoring system arranged on a seeding single body, a direct current speed-adjusting motor arranged on the seeding single body and a velometer, wherein the master control system is arranged inside a cab of a tractor, and electrically connected with three monitoring sensors of the miss-seeding real-time monitoring system, the direct current speed-adjusting motor, the differential global positioning system, the velometer and the warning system through shielded conductors respectively. According to the system and method disclosed by the invention, the current work state of the seeder can be monitored in real time, fault type and miss-seeding position of the seeder are precisely judged, and seeding is intelligently controlled and adjusted.
