The origin of total halogenated organic compounds in the source water (Lake Biwa and Yodo River)

The studies on formation mechanism and removal techniques of halogenated organic compounds are popular among many investigators. But “The Origin of Precursor” has been rarely reported and is not clearly known.We investigated “The Origin of Precursor” at Lake Biwa-Yodo River catchment area.The result showed that the load ratio of precursor in Lake Biwa (Uji River) is about 50% to Yodo-River.Also we found that the contribution persentage of natural soils to particulate precursor in water is about 3040% at Kizu River, less than 10% at Lake Biwa, Uji River and Katsura River.
