OBSERVABLE CONSEQUENCES OF ANOMALOUS THRESHOLDS

The Landau surface for the triangle diagram touches the physical region at three points. The consequences of this singular-matrix element for several processes are studied. It is found that there should be peaks in cross sectrons at the edge of phase space. These peaks depend sensitively on the incident energy and are distinguished in this way from genuine resonances.
