Flash vaporization forecast and control in the heavy oil production well by steam flood

2010
In the production process of heavy oil production well by steam flooding, local pressure drop is caused by the suction of pump when the oil-water mixture flows through the fixed valve, which causes flash vaporization in the pump. Flash vaporization in the pump will cause pump air lock, tubing and pump damage, fluid production decreased. Based on borehole temperature, pressure calculation model of heavy oil production well by steam flooding, local resistance coefficient of the fixed valve is determined by the local resistance test of liquid flowing through the pump fixed valve, and then pressure drop calculation model of oil and water mixture flowing through the fixed vale is determined according to the energy equation. Combined with the critical temperature - pressure curve of saturated steam of hexane and water, flash vaporization forecast model of heavy oil production well by steam flood in the pump is established. Real-time monitoring to the flash vaporization in the pump can be achieved based on the liquid production, water content, temperature and other production parameters of wellhead and well structure parameters. Field test and flash vaporization forecast are carried out with example of Jin-45-22-K281 well, compared with the calculation results and test results, the flash vaporization in the pump can be predicted accurately by the flash vaporization forecast model of heavy oil production well by steam flood, no liquid can be avoided in time, to ensure normal operation of downstream equipment, to provide a theoretical basis for flash prevention.
