Psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the Core Self-Evaluations Scale (CSES-SP)

2018
Abstract The Core Self-Evaluations Scale (CSES) was designed to assess a latent construct that includes facets of four core traits: self-esteem, self-efficacy, emotional stability, and locus of control. This study analyzed the validity and reliability of the Spanish version of the CSES in a sample of 730 university students. A two-factor model with two related factors (“positive core self-evaluations” and “negative core self-evaluations”) fit the data better than a one-factor model. The results indicated that the Spanish version of the CSES was a reliable and valid measure.
