JUSUF KALLA DALAM DIPLOMASI KEMANUSIAAN INDONESIA MELALUI PERSPEKTIF IDIOSINKRATIK

Research Objectives: To determine the role of Jusuf Kalla in carrying out Indonesian humanitarian diplomacy and to analyze the influence of Jusuf Kalla's personality in carrying out Indonesian humanitarian diplomacy. Research Methods : Descriptive Qualitative Research Methods. Research Results : Jusuf Kalla is consistent in carrying out Indonesia's humanitarian diplomacy with the important role of Jusuf Kalla being a negotiator in the Aceh conflict. In carrying out humanitarian diplomacy, there are personality factors that influence Jusuf Kalla. The four elements of personality are temperament (Jusuf Kalla's sensitivity level in responding to humanitarian issues), social context (Bugis cultural values in Jusuf Kalla’s life), cognition (personal principles and the influence of the organizations he is involved in) and Jusuf Kalla's motives, namely for the national interest in bring about peace. Conclusion: Personality factors have an important influence on the success of an actor in carrying out diplomacy. Past experience is one of the factors that influence the skill of an actor in solving problems. Everyone has a different art of negotiation depending on the personality of each individual.
