A Task Scheduling Method for Edge Computing in Intelligent Building System

Edge computing is a new computing method. Task scheduling for edge computing is an important way to meet user needs. With the rapid development of the Internet of Things and communication technologies, network data has exploded, resulting in traditional cloud computing no longer adapt to the various needs of home users in intelligent building system. Firstly, the mathematical model of the system is established, in order to solve this practical problem, considering the communication time, task completion time and CPU energy consumption comprehensively. Then, the SSA-GA hybrid scheduling algorithm is proposed, where the search mechanism of single gene mutation of GA is introduced to make up for the defects of SSA algorithm, while giving attention to the search ability and optimization efficiency. The model is verified by SSA-GA. The simulation results show that SSA-GA has better performance than other algorithms.
