The invention discloses a construction method and related packet forwarding method for a tree backbone structure in a wireless network. The invention is mainly characterized in that nodes in the wireless network are defined as root nodes and leaf nodes, the root nodes are utilized to create a tree backbone structure, the root nodes and leaf nodes can communicate with each other, and a method for calculating the stability of a link related to one node and a free route learning mechanism are provided, thus, a new tree structure-based packet forwarding method is generated. In the method provided by the invention, a proactive routing method and a reactive routing method are balanced, both the transmission efficiency and the network overhead are considered, the balance of the network flow is improved, and finally the network data transmission efficiency is improved.
