Detection of Dim Moving Targets Based on Temporal Decomposition

This paper deals with the detection of dim moving point targets in high clutter background. The proposed algorithm is a wavelet-based detection technique using temporal decomposition to detect temporal change. The false alarm rate is then reduced by a new method according to the post processing of the change detection map. The experimental results indicate that this algorithm can effectively reduce the false alarm rate, while preserving the target detection probability.
