Study on Cu²+ Adsorption in Magnified Continuous-Upflow Reactor by Saccharomyces Cerevisiae and Industrial Wastewater Treatment

2008
Put dead immobilized beer yeast into column of continuous-upflow reactor, study adsorption characteristics on Cu 2+ through axial-magnification and axial-radial-magnification tests of column and industrial wastewater treatment. The results showed: with initial Cu 2+ concentration 20 mg/L, in axial- magnification test and axial-radial-magnification tests, flow rates of 35 mL/min and 100 mL/min were optimal respectively. Magnification of flow rate was not completely the same as that of column. Treated industrial wastewater in big reactor could attain to 1-2 level of state standard GB8978-1996. COD, SS and other organic materials needed to be further decomposed biochemically.
