Az információs műveletek elmélete, gyakorlata és tendenciái

The paper presents the aims of information operations and the struggle in the extended infosphere by and for information. The role of information in warfare, the theoretical basis of information operations and the characteristics of the continuously interconnected information environment are briefly presented. The evolution and the categorization of information operations are outlined. With regard to future trends, the social and military consequences of the evolution of information operations, also their effects on military operations and the potential evolution of military capabilities are forecast. The opportunities of using information operations in undermining the willingness of adversaries to fight are assessed. On the basis of the aforementioned the relationship between “Zrinyi 2026” National Defence and Armed Forces Development Program and information operations, and also the possible ways to tackle the difficulties of information operations. Finally, a summary of observations and some recommendations follow.
