This article conducts an in-depth review of previous research on IJV in general. Based on the review results and considerations of specific conditions and characteristics of sino-foreign IJVs, the author presents a newly integrated and systematic framework for measuring the performance of sino-foreign IJVs, including the factors influencing IJV performance and the performance measurement approaches. In the end, the potential directions for future research are proposed.
