The pleniglacial-Lateglacial transition has been studied at four sites in the north-Pyrenees piedmont. The clinic improvement that characterizes the onset of the Lateglacial (Oldest Dryas) occurred at ca 15,000 B.P. It is marked by a rise in the Artemisia pollen percentage and in δ 18 O values
