The National Physical Planning Agency is developing an approach based upon the interaction between design and analysis. In this a link is made between mobility, employment and housing. A case study of the Randstad was subject of this new approach. With help of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) applications, transportation models, and prognostics the fundaments of the planning process was built. With the same techiques the results of the design process were analysed again. Some results of this study are presented here. (Author/TRRL)
