Theoretical Analysis of a Dynamic Vibration Phase Reversal Transition

2019
We theoretically investigate the crucial role of noise-induced switching dynamics due to thermal fluctuations, which is difficult to explore experimentally, in the dynamic vibration phase reversal transition reported by Kim et al. [J. Opt. Soc. Am. B 36, 256 (2019)]. Interestingly, the noise-induced switching time τ0 between two stable states is related to the control parameter θ. which represents the degree of magnitude of the interparticle interaction. We observe a shift of the pulse strength (\(\overline h \))-duration (Δt) phase boundary, a change in the relaxation time near the phase boundary, and a power-law behavior of the order parameter O near the critical pulse strength \(\overline h _p^c\) under various values of the control parameter θ and the noise-induced switching time τ0, which were not observed previously.
