Study on Quality Standard for Cang′e Biyan Nasal Drop

Objective To establish the quality standard of Cang′e Biyan nasal drop.Methods Thin layer chromatography(TLC) was applied to identify Scutellaria Baicalensis,Inspissatum Fel Suis,Chlorphenamine Maleate and Sodium Houttuyfonate in Cang′e Biyan nasal drop.High performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) was applied to determine the content of Baicalin and Chlorphenamine Maleate in Cang′e Biyan nasal drop.Results Scutellaria Baicalensis,Inspissatum Fel Suis,Chlorphenamine Maleate and Sodium Houttuyfonate could be identified by TLC.Baicalin was linear in the range of 0.099 6-0.996 0 g,r=0.999 9,the average recovery was 100.34%,RSD=0.52%.Chlorphenamine Maleate was linear in the range of 0.082 4-0.824 0 g,r=0.999 7,the average recovery was 100.40%,RSD=1.61%.Conclusion The established method is simple,convenient and reproducible,and it can be used for the quality control of Cang′e Biyan nasal drop.
