Coherent accumulation detection for a maneuvering target with doppler ambiguity and doppler aliasing

2021
High-speed manevuering target detection has been a challenging problem in recent years. The range migration (RM) and Doppler frequency migration (DFM) induced by the complex motions of a maneuvering target should be solved firstly in order to ensure the adequate output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for effectively target detection. In addition, the pulse repetition frequency is limited to satisfy the large range observation area requirement, which leads to the troublesome Doppler ambiguity and Doppler aliasing phenomenon and further degrade the target detection performance. In this paper, some characteristics for a maneuvering target with velocity ambiguity and Doppler aliasing target are presented, and then, a modify Keystone transform matched filtering (MKTMF) method is proposed to realize the long-time coherent accumulation for this kind of moving targets. Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
