Charging Harmonic Characteristic Analysis of Electric Vehicles Based on Simulation and Analytical Methods

The electric vehicle charger will produce a lot of harmonics. In this paper, the harmonic characteristics of chargers are analyzed by simulation and analysis. The main contents are as follows: the harmonic current characteristics of single charger, synchronous charger and asynchronous charger are deeply excavated; the harmonic current of synchronous charger of multiple chargers is analyzed based on superposition principle; and based on simulation and analysis results, the harmonic current of synchronous charger of multiple chargers is proposed. An approximate method for calculating harmonic current with harmonic cancellation effect in mind is presented. A large number of simulation results and conclusions provide experimental and theoretical basis for practical engineering analysis of harmonic characteristics and research of harmonic suppression methods.
