Pyrazole carbothioamide analogues: synthesis, characterisation and antifungal evaluation

A simple procedure for the synthesis of pyrazole carbothioamides was developed. Cyclocondensation reaction of chalcones with thiosemicarbazide hydrochloride in the presence of acid in methanol under reflux conditions produced pyrazole carbothioamides in good yields. The synthesized new compounds were characterized by spectral studies and elemental analysis; and were screened in vitro for their antifungal susceptibilities against different fungi species.
