Experiment for Discrimination between Special Relativity Theory and Covariant Ether Theories

Some covariant ether theories assume the existence of an “absolute” inertial frame, leading to a frequency shift of electromagnetic radiation proportional to the “absolute” velocity of the frame of experiment. Two experiments are discussed which are able to measure such a possible frequency shift.
