Reflex responses of single human motoneurones

Abstract A method is outlined for following the reflex responses of single human motoneurones. The frequency of motoneurone discharge, and the timing of a peripheral stimulus relative to spike generation can be set. A rapid and quantitative analysis of the results is possible. The application is demonstrated, using nociceptive cutaneous stimuli during tonic firing of motoneurones.
