Preparation and properties of amphiphilic hyperbranched poly(ester-amide)

2006
A hyperbranched poly(ester-amide)(HP) with hydroxyl end-groups was synthesized from diisopropanolamine (DIPA) cis-1,2-clyclohexane-dicarboxylic anhydride (HHPA) and pentaerythritol (PETL), and a kind of amphiphilic hyperbranched macromolecule was prepared with the hydroxyl end-groups modified by the addition of polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether(M_W550, MPEG550).The structure of the macromolecules was characterized with IR, DSC, GPC and SEM.The results indicated that the hyperbranched poly(ester-amide) had narrow molecular mass distribution with polydispersity 1.47, and glass transformation temperature (T_g) 36℃.It was shown by SEM micrographs that the amphiphilic polymer in water solution exhibited nano-spherical particles dispersion with 50~100 nm diameter.
