Litofacijesi područja Podsusedsko Dolje-Bizek-Ivanec Bistranski na Medvednici

Abstract: The subject of this thesis were the rocks from the southwestern part of Medvednica Mt. in the area bounded by the position of three quarries: Podsusedsko Dolje, Bizek and Ivanec Bistranski. Main goal of the investigation was to define characteristic lithofacies in the study area. Seven lithofacies were defined by field-work and micropetrographical analysis (Triassic lithofacies: Dolomite lithofacies (L1) and Dolomitic breccia lithofacies (L2); Cretaceous lithofacies: Carbonate clastic lithofacies (L3); and Badenian lithofacies: Basal conglomerate lithofacies (L4), Porous limestone lithofacies (so-called „litavac“) (L5), Lithothamnium limestone lithofacies (L6) and Clayey biocalcarenite lithofacies (L7). All the results are integrated into the GIS database and displayed on a lithofacies map of the study area.
