A vibration source excitation device comprising: a sound source (10) for generating musical tone signals; a sequencer (40) for exciting and controlling the sound source (10) based on sequence data, namely musical data; a means (22) of excitation to excite a source (24, 26) of vibration; and a switching means (42) for switching on or off a signal to be supplied to the excitation medium (22) under the control of the sequencer (40), in which the sequencer (40) is adapted to control the switching means (42 ) based on timing data included in the sequence data.
