New Materials For Solar Energy Conversion

The development of photovoltaic solar energy conversion is considered. A review of the obtaining methods and the photoelectric parameters of the photocells based on different semiconductor materials: silicon, III-V compounds, copper indium deselenide (CIS), cadmium telluride, ternary semiconductor compounds is presented. Future tasks for efficiency increasing and cost reducing of the electrical energy generated by different photocells are discussed.
