ÇOCUKLARDA ÖN DİŞ KIRIKLARININ PSİKOSOSYAL ETKİLERİNİN ARAŞTIRILMASI

Amac: On dislerde travmaya bagli olarak meydana gelen dis kiriklari hem agiz fonksiyonlarini bozabilmekte hem de cocugun psikososyal gelisimi uzerinde olumsuz etkiler yapabilmektedir. Bu calismanin amaci; on dis kiriklarinin, cocuklarin sosyal yargilamalarini nasil etkiledigini saptamaktir. Gerec ve yontem : Bu calismada, yaslari 11 ile 15 arasinda degisen birer kiz ve erkek cocuk secilmistir. Secilen cocuklarin ailelerinden izin alinarak fotograflari cekilmis ve dijital ortamda her iki cocugun fotografi uzerinde duzeltmeler yapilarak on dislerin saglam oldugu ve on dislerin kirik oldugu iki farkli gorsel hazirlanmistir. Calisma grubu yaslari 7-15 arasinda degisen 1258 cocuk saglam (travma gecirmemis fotograflarin gosterildigi), travma gecirmis ve kombine (hem travma gecirmis ve hem de travma gecirmemis fotograflarin gosterildigi) olarak uc farkli gruba ayrilmistir. Bu gorseller saglam, travma ve kombine gruptaki cocuklara gosterilmis ve cocuklarin likert skalasina uygun olarak hazirlanmis anketleri doldurmalari istenmistir. Anket sonuclarinin degerlendirilmesiyle elde edilen sonuclar tek yonlu varyans analizi (ANOVA), tanimlayici istatistikler ve post hoc coklu karsilastirmalar analiz yontemleri kullanilarak incelenmistir. Bulgular: Yapilan bu calismada; kombine grupta 7-11 yas ile 12-15 yas grubunun restore edilmis dise ve kirik dise ait fotografa bakarak verilen yanitlarinin ortalamalari arasinda istatistiksel olarak anlamli fark bulunmustur (p<0,05). Saglam dislere sahip fotografa bakan grupta, 7-11 yas ile 12-15 yas gruplarinda verilen yanitlarin ortalamalari arasinda istatistiksel olarak anlamli fark bulunmustur . Sonuc: Yapilan bu calismada; 7-11 yas grubu cocuklarin, 12-15 yas grubu cocuklara gore daha kesin yargilamalarda bulundugu gorulmustur. Ayrica 12-15 yas erkek cocuklari haricindeki tum cocuklar, fotograflarindaki akranlarinin hem kirik hem de saglam halini gordugu zaman, kirik halini tek basina gormesine kiyasla daha negatif yargilamalarla nitelendirmislerdir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Anterior dis, dental travma, psikososyal INVESTIGATION OF PSYCHOSOCIAL EFFECTS OF ANTERIOR TOOTH FRACTURES IN CHILDREN ABSTRACT Aim: Dental fractures due to trauma incisors can disrupt both oral functions and adversely affect the psychosocial development of the child. The aim of this study is; to determine how anterior teeth fractures affect children’s social perception. Materials-Methods: In this study, one girl and one boy aged between 11 and 15 years were selected. Photographs were taken with permission from the parents of the selected children and two different pictures were prepared in the digital media, in which the images of both children pictures were corrected as the anterior teeth were healthy and the anterior teeth were broken. The study group consisted of 1258 children aged between 7 and 15 years who were divided into three groups: healthy (showing non-traumatic photographs), traumatic and combined (showing both traumatized and non-traumatic photographs). These images were shown to healthy, traumatized and combined group. Children were asked to complete questionnaires which was prepared according to likert scale. The results were analyzed using one way ANOVA, descriptive statistics and post hoc multiple comparative analysis methods. Results: There was a statistically significant difference between the ages of 7-11 and 12-15 age group in the combined group (p <0.05). There was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of 7-11 and 12-15 age groups in the healthy group Conclusion: In this study; It has been seen that children aged 7-11 years are in more definitive judgments than children aged 12-15 years. All children, except 12-15 year-old boys, described the fracture as more negative judgments than when they saw their peers’s fractured and restored images.
